Mine always had the push type connectors vs those screwed in type. I would go ape**** screwing those screw type ones. Mike

I have the cup splitter, attached with standard plastic push rivets - and this:

Tested to 135 mph - no problem.

If you go off, and mow the lawn, it is preferred to have the splitter separate without destroying the bumper cover mounting holes. A splitter is much cheaper than repairing or buying a bumper cover.
