Default 6gt3 musings...

Bought a '87 3.2. I think I'm in love.

Been in a committed relationship with my 6/3 for 5 years. I love her, I truly do. But...

The 3.2 gets all my attention. 100mph is satisfying only the way 160+ is in the 6/3. She even gets more stares, even though I KNOW the 6/3 is a cooler, more important, "sexier" girl.

Help.

Just keep driving the 3.2, soon enough you'll be back in the 6-3. Antique vs Animal.

I'm lucky enough to have both as well, but I got my 3.2 almost 9 years ago, and have only owned my 6-3 for a couple of months.

Different horses for different courses, I say. They both are great (as is my 914), and it gives you a choice, depending upon your mood or objective. YMMV.

Default other issues

My other issue is that I just don't drive it enough and it pains me to see it rotting away. They are closing the nearest track soon and it's just impossible to drive it in the city.

Don't worry a 964, 993, 997 are in your future. You won't find help here.

The older air cooled cars are a blast especially on the street. You can enjoy pushing them at a much lower limit. I love mine all the same. Lately the 964 has been getting all my attention. It's like a lower power gt3. Well it is now after I replaced the entire suspension and braking systems. Check my build thread.

Keep both if you can. As someone with a 3.2 who lusts after the 6/3... I think they compliment each other well and serve different purposes.

Do you track the 6/3? If not - go. As much fun as the 3.2 is on track... the GT3 was built for it and that's where she will outshine the 3.2. On the street, continue thrashing that 3.2.

Also, the 3.2 is way prettier/sexier than the 6/3. Put a proper exhaust on it and it will sound better too!

Default 6/3

I do track, but not as often as I would like and the track nearest me is closing soon (TWS).

You don't need help. You are right on track.
My Yin and Yang are my 6 GT3 and my '60 356 B.
Try that combo out for size!
And yes, the 356 will be on the street and track !

I didn't know '60 was still a "B"?!

I learned to drive stick on a '63 B S90. My best friend still owns it...original owner from his dad.

I also have both. 3.2 is the weekend driver for a nice day. 6-3 is the track beast!
