Default 1 way with DFV Ohlins or Intrax IK2 with ARC

Had a look around the Autosport show yesterday and was considering fast road and 'ring suspension upgrade from stock on my 04 gt3.

Ohlins were very honest and advised the one way DFV system which was £1400 for the kit using original top mounts. Intrax advised the IK2 with top mount, coating BT and the Anti Roll Control at 4000 euro or £3000.

Head said Ohlins and heart said Intrax! Personally I was stunned at the Ohlins pricing as I had assumed about £2000+

Any conclusive feedback including staying stock which is new at the front and original at the rear.

The guys from Intrax told me would be better to have a specialised team to fine tune the 4-way, thinking to go 1k2 route with all the options and top mounts of course

unless you have shock pots and a chassis engineer stick with 1 or 2 ways :-)

i really like the DFV on my RS. They're on there 3 years now and a LOT of track days. Still perform well. So much better than the stock dampers on the 997, which many say are better than the 996 to begin with. Itching for an upgrade maybe go with TTX 2 way. at like 4x the price.

Yeah the 4ways are overkill, I should have gone for 2way. But I was stubborn.
Just posted because I really like Intrax. And since I'm in The Netherlands they do my alignment and setup. When I'm at the track one of their guys, Donald is often around and he helps me out fine tuning. So over the years I have collected a couple setups in my phone that work for different conditions.
The Intrax very loose setting on tours through the Alps or Eifel area is just magic. I went with a weaker setup in the spring.
But if I had to choose again I'd go for 2 way.

Just received by Ohlins from Rhonda at fvd. I decided to go with them based on the feedback from here and others. I'll post my thoughts as soon as I get around to installing them.

Question for 993GT: How many clicks are you running front and rear?

I tried a few different settings but found the Ohlins recommended settings (10 from full stiff, front an rear) and been the most ideal overall for my conditions

Thanks for the feedback Rob. That is where I will start as well.

I ordered some thrust sheets from Swift and all new bolts for the install. Just need to be patient while waiting on parts...

^ I could see bringing myself tightening the front in particular (and rear a bit) up more if on rather smooth surfaces...pretty rough roads/local track for me, and a lot of go anywhere road miles
