Default Recently Purchased Heat-Magic Exhaust - help

Hey guys,

Recently purchased a Heat Magic exhaust from a buddy of mine in Japan for my 996 gt3

After installing it, Looks like we are missing something or ??? It does line up perfectly when the bumper is on, so that's what has me confused as it is made for the car and my buddy was right.

Seems to be a very rare item, and quality is awesome, BUT obviously as seen in the photos below, there is something off!

Just posting to see if anyone has seen something like this and how they resolved it?

I've searching Heat-Magic site but they just have photos of the tips on the 996 gt3

Is there a link pipe somewhere to attach it to the cats?

Unfortunately this is all i have due to it being a used item. Their website only has photos of the exhaust install and no other information

I think i may just have to take to a friends shop who specializes in fab work to see if there is something he can do to connect the piping from the cats as it would be a pretty interesting looking curved bent pipe to make it work as the muffler looks upside down compared to most made for porsches.

This picture looks like they may have a custom system for the cat section

That's an MK 1 Gt3. Perhaps the exhaust layout is different from our MK2 cars??

Yeah possibly but more than likely not cause all exhaust from fab speed, gmg, etc for 996 gt3 are 99-05

It's likely that the exhaust was sold as a full header back, or possibly including headers, solution. Not intended to bolt to any part of the stock system. You're probably going to have to visit a local exhaust shop to fabricate the pieces to complete the connections.

Yeah that's looking like the solution. Tried emailing Heat Magic directly but no reply yet. May have a friend call them who is in Japan to see if they have any photos of the exhaust installed without bumpers on.

Keep everyone posted! Thanks for all the input!
