Andy, feel free to veto my idea if I am hijacking in any way.

Thanks,

I don't see why we can't turn this into an exhaust sound thread. I meant to make videos of my car after I got the exhaust done but have never really had the opportunity until my brother hopped in the car the other day.

I had my fab guy make it to my specs. It's similar in design to the M&M race exhaust used on their neon orange 996 rally car. We even custom built the mufflers from scratch in order to maximize muffler size within the confined space as off the shelf options were not a good fit for what we were trying to do.

I have the cargraphics mufflers on my 6GT3 but have been considering adding a GMG x-pipe.

Does anyone run an x-pipe with the cargraphics mufflers? I would love to hear a sound clip or two of that configuration.

Same here, Fabspeed with Cargraphic cans. Crazy sound, and manageable...if you keep your foot out of it. I posted a clip some time back on another Rennlist thread. If I can find it, I'll post the link here later.

I'm not sure if this will work for all of you. It's a hightail clip from an iphone. Hopefully you can see and hear it

Fantastic!!

Christallon...that thing screams! Which specific Fabspeed do you have? X-pipe with cats?

GoFish...car sounds amazing from inside! When you say "just Fabspeed", which parts are you talking about? Just an X-pipe with factory cans?

This is turning into a great thread. Let's hear some more. Christallon...more please!!

And let's provide complete descriptions of your whole exhaust...with cats, without, muffler bypass, which X-Pipe, etc...

Anyone with a GMG WC X-Pipe? Really want to hear that with stock mufflers if someone has it. Keep 'em coming!

Thanks,

JA

Thanks. Every track day people come up to tell me how sweet the exhaust sounds.

Agreed, that exhaust you had made is simply sublime 4porsh. Pure poetry!!!

My exhaust is simple: stock headers into Cargraphic cans into Fabspeed Catless X Pipe into stock tips. The sound is pretty sweet for an "off the shelf" solution.

X- pipe is the key to making it sound like it should.. My exhaust is similar to Joe's minus the headers which do make a little difference in sound esp since his are equal length...at least I believe that Charles D's headers are equal length's.

I've been toying with the idea of having "straight pipes" made up for track events and such. Is there a way to incorporate an X pipe with a centre exit? I guess they could cross over right near the tips?

The PO of my car had a custom exhaust fab'd by a shop in northern MI near Traverse City. What's funny is that he told me when I bought it that it had a Fabspeed exhaust, but this was actually built by a shop called Love Fab - it's written on the cans.

It sounds unreal, like the hounds of hell! It's also damn loud. Build quality is excellent.

Here's a link to a dyno pull

And here's a link to little vid of me at WGI

I'll have to do a proper recording some day
