I hear ya guys, I certainly didnt get a detailed report. More so just a single page with bullet listings as to points of interest and any faults they found. I am not sure they would be able to pass this off every time when charging $500 but I think they got lazy when typing the report because they called me down to look at the car when they had it, and thus explained a lot verbally.

I definitely understand your points though. I will ring them monday morning and get that DME report.

$500 ppi? i thought CA was bad. land of oz is worse.

996 GT3 is 90-105K here. I priced up 991 3 on US and Aus web for fun. Same 150k car with options in US is 358K in aus.

We get raped...hard.

I helped a friend buy a car in SoCal last year, and arranged for the PPI based on a SoCal friend's recommendation. The PPI came back with no printout, with the same bull**** story. I called and insisted that he get one. He sent the tech to the seller's house and got one. It was normal, but now I know.
My friend bought the car, and it has been great.
I agree with Dell...no printout, no purchase.
