How much would it be to get this to Florida? Import taxes, transport and all that boring stuff.

No idea about taxes, but transport should be +/- $1,500.

Looks like a great car! I need a track car here in Florida so I can join Trakcar and the gang for some fun DEs. I'll try to find out more about import cost and then pm you! And work some rust of my driving. Lol.

Trakcar has been in this car his first time at Mosport Well, a parade lap without helmets when I took him around for the first time but hey, that counts, right?

Very nicely setup! What type of racecar are you looking for after this? Might be hard to compete with your current. Good luck and curious where you get to. Glws!

Thanks, and yes, the current car makes it hard to go for a "slower" one given that I still want to do DE's. I've been spoiled with the GT3.

At the moment I'm thinking GTB'ish kind of car, but the current exchange rate makes getting a car from the US (where most are) more expensive than it needs to be.

I'm seriously worried about selling this car and then not finding the "right" race car, whatever that is. I guarantee that if that happens I'll be wondering why I sold it in the first place instead of caging it

I know this car, it's well set up and still fresh, so some days I wonder why I would sell it. But you know what they say about it being cheaper to buy built than to build.

I'll give it a bit more time, but I've started a build list, just in case.

I've got my car down to about 2800#. A blast to drive. Not sure what class you'd be in with the cup gearbox, but racing is racing. You know what you have and you're almost there anyway. If you're considering a cup, the cost to race those are much higher in tire costs alone. Just my .02.

I'm getting there John, actually wanted to reach out to you to ask for your $.02, now I have it

Would love a cup, but I'm not there $$-wise, so it's this car or try to get a cheaper one and end up with extra cash, temporarily in my pocket. There's a local 996 GTB-1 with fresh motor that I could get for approx $40, so I'm trying here first.

But at some point I have to make a decision, or it'll be Spring and I'll still just be going round and round at the track.

Class would be GTA as is, or maybe "K" if I can swing it. Either way, everyone gets a trophy in club racing so it doesn't really matter, I just want to race with my mates.

F Faust. I am in the same predicament. I talked a friend of mine out of making his car (6-3) a race car as it would cost about $20,000 and he would never get it back on resale. Instead he got a 6 cup and is happy as a clam. Several race shops (ones I trust) talk me out of stripping my car. I just have so much money in my car and it set up so well I don't want to sell yet. So temporarily I'm doing time trials and loving it. Won my first set of Hoosiers last month. In my 6-3. I was thinking to start more affordable racing such as spec Miata before selling my car. Or I may never race because of the kids. Good luck with your decision but it's a great predicament to be in

Great car and price

Glws
