I was at SEMA last week and spoke with a Nitto rep who is responsible for territory that includes Discount Tire Direct. He says that the shortage is not a long term issue. NT01s are made in Japan. Nitto has been growing sales overall and their capacity is currently stretched. There will be NT01s available, likely starting in February.

Good news, I guess.

if they tell you they have it, that doesnt count.
when it shows up at ur front door step, then yes.
many times i order, they ship, 3 days later, i get email sorry out of stock
as far as i know the entire USA has no more 305 315 left. you may find a few here and there if you dig hard. but not many out there.

kfitzpatric just listed 315. i dont understand why it's not sold. there will be no 315 for 6+ months. i would just take those if i had 996

Although they sent a confirming email right away, got a call this afternoon that they don't have them and haven't for weeks. First time I've ever had a problem with them and I've ordered quite a few NT01s from them over the years.

Don't know why their webby said they had them last night and let me order.

My speculation: Nitto has been growing sales on cheaper to make, higher margin off-road tires. While there is demand for these GT car tires the market is nowhere near as big as it is for jeeps and bro-trucks.
