Default Coolant drain plug leak

Hi
I have a small but annoying drip from one of the rear coolant drain plugs. These have been replaced regularly as I believe the aluminium washers fail. But a few months later there are are two little drips on the garage floor, not a big prob but gives you heartsink when you see them.
Any advised proper fixes for this nuisance
Any advice always gratefully received
Mike

You might want to loosen them a bit and put some kind of sealant around the washers. The other option is to just replace them. If you keep the tank cover on, it will minimize the amount of fluid that will drain out when you remove them. I have removed mine a number of times with no issues. Trick is not to over-tighten them....

Thanks that seems sensible, good tip about not removing the header tank cap.
Would gasket sealant be the best bet?
