Big suspension parts ~$1000-$1500 each, things like wings and hoods are crazy expensive. IIRC, the big ticket suspension bits are ~ $8K. To exactly duplicate this car would probably cost more than going to Europe and buying one, and that would not be cheap :-)

being a prior owner i understood the engine was the same as the stock 6-3

although the legend down here - we got 20-30 cars i think in SA - was that if an engine came off the line
and it was tested ... and made x% less than the 381 it was rebuilt, but if it made more
it went into an RS ...

There are real differences - the heads are different - perhaps more material allowing for more aggressive porting, not really sure. The difference may not be worth the premium though. There are other changes - also not entirely sure...

According to my tech the head is slightly different as the plugs are smaller and that's the only physical difference - he's rebuilt 3 6-RS engines, 2 into 3.9s.

Leaving out the engine, hardware bits, and wheels, I think I arrived at a parts cost of around $60k. The list above did not have the seats and CF hood but it was really helpful....going to send it to my insurance company. Thanks!!
