I thoroughly enjoy my 6 on both the street and track with GMG 996 Hi-Flow Cat X pipe mated to the 996 GMG Sport Muffler muffler set up. Purchased back in 2011 and the build quality is amazing along with the incredible sound.

Here is are a few sound clips from several years ago:

I really like the sound of your exhaust. Given that we use our GT3 for PCA drives, some of which are for extended period at highway speeds, how is the drone? The EP on our 997.1 TT has no drone at all and I would like a similar lack of drone on the GT3 if I change from stock.

FWIW I absolutely love the sound of my GMG exhaust, in fact everyone I know loves the sound of it. It's absurdly good. My question is though have you guys done anything in this production run to solve for the brackets needing re-welding? I've had mine done twice now. Also have you changed anything with the mufflers? Mine have an issue now where something has deteriorated in the passenger side and now has to be opened up to get whatever is rattling in there out.

Just got mine installed yesterday. They sound awesome (and yes, pretty loud...quite abit louder than the fabspeed). I'll try to post up a video in the next couple days.

Also, if sound restriction is a concern, we recommend the GMG X-Pipe High Flow cats. The OEM catalytic converters on the 996 GT3 are much more restrictive than the OEM mufflers and it is a bottleneck. You will gain more from the upgrading the x-pipe than the mufflers.

The mufflers are $1795 and the x-pipe is $2395.

If you order both, I can give you free shipping on the entire order.
I'm interested in X pipe with Cats (as is Chris Rouleau) and would need to know db rating with stock mufflers as we run at Tremblant with strict noise regulations.
Thanks
Derek

All the tracks here in Sweden now has 95 dB as sound limits...My car is a 996 GT3 CS MK1
