I have tried them all, on 997.2, 996 GT3 and now cayman R.
Agree with whats said above.
I have the numeric shifter with cup cables in the cayman R and I am "super happy"
I shift quick and decisive, without much throw and there is no notchiness or metallic sound, just pure smooth and fast.
There is no better combination for the track.
