Lock up of 1 wheel under braking
Hi folks, the front right on my car locks up on medium to slightly hard application of the brake pedal. Certainly not stomping the brake pedal so quite surprised that the wheel locks up for a split second under braking. Used to happen with the old rotors/pads and now that I have new cup rotors and pads. Any ideas? I am leaning towards an issue with the pistons in that caliper (maybe seals), no ABS errors are reported using Durametric.

not enough weight sitting on that corner, IE. coilover/ride height not set right...IMO

Hi,
Definitely won't be the suspension...that was replaced recently with KW clubsports. Car was then corner weighed and the problem is still there as it was with the original suspension and setup.
Mike the LSD is yet to be tested but there was definitely a rear end wiggle braking from high speeds in a straight line, hence the suspension change as I felt the factory springs are way too soft and the car was diving a lot under braking. Have done some tests braking in a straight line with the KW's and there is no wiggle but this means nothing until I go to the track and test it under track conditions and higher speeds.

GTD,
LSD could be an issue if it's been tracked and not checked, stock lsd is pos. You indicated front right would lock under medium to slightly hard, lsd issue usually shows up under threshold braking. I'd check the caliper pistons and seals. Check the lsd too, if stock that is probably shot and you'll want to replace in any case. Guard internals are pretty good.

Thanks John, the guard diff is definitely on the cards. Pistons and seals will be checked later this week by my mechanic.
PS. Down under the steering is on the right hence my butt should be adding enough weight to the RHS.

If calipers check okay, it could be the diff, but as mentioned straight line braking medium most likely something else; as Andy mentioned it could be the corner weight isn't right.
