TRACK brake pads: Your favorite brand and compound?

So you like DTC60's eh? I was looking at them for the reason you mentioned, they are cheap. I know comparing brake compounds can be difficult. That being said, can you summarize a comparison between them and the PFC compounds you've run?

Maybe I'm not a good enough "drover" to really complain about them one way or the other. Comparing them to PFC 01: DTC's have a TON of initial bite..had to adjust my application a bit around that initial bite. Don't modulate or release quite as nice as PFC 01. Got the same life out of them as PFC 01. People have complained that performance of the hawk goes away after 50% pad life. I've not had this be the case for me. Ran the last set right down to only 1-2 mm of pad left without issue. I do have cup front ducts and GT2 rear ducts on my car for cooling.
I understand PFC 06 and 08 last longer which helps in the value department. I have yet to run either of those compounds.

I have run Endless MX72 and PFC 08,06,01 on my car. Endless MX72 are great pads, very gently on the rotors, great bite and modulation but wear out about 2x as fast as the PFC pads. Endless is gentler on the rotors than PFC.

Track Day
Hi Craig,
I've been running the RS29/RS14 combo that I got from you last year.
Absolutely brilliant combination. Don't know how anyone would need anything different.
They do produce dust, but wear fantastically well.
Why are so many people running and preferring the PFC08 these days? Just a fashion thing?

I was wondering the same thing. The PFC pads are a bit pricier than Pagid as well.

I've got 08's at all corners

My friend and i have the same car, he runs Pagid I run PFC. Have driving both cars back to back on same track, Pagids felt fine but PFC felt better to me and the PFC pads lasts way longer. PFC pads feel great almost all the way to the mental backing, meaning I can run them low and for me that is more value in PFC.
