New to Me GT3
Our new to us GT3 arrived in Edmonton today. While there are some rock chips to fix, in general the car looks good. It has a full leather interior and Xenon lights. The car was tracked early in its' life, but then was sold to an older gentleman with a CPO warranty and there appear to have been no issues.
The front end of the car was painted due to the tracking. We are going to cover the entire front hood, bumper and fenders (as well as rocker panels and the trailing areas behind all wheels) so that I can feel okay about driving this on local PCA events.
It was a tortuous purchase process, including some very bad customer service (although very good mechanical service) at Porsche in Calgary.
While we own a 997.1 Turbo and a 986 Boxster (bought new) this will be our first GT3 and I am really, really looking forward to clean roads and being able to drive it.
I must say, the information on this website, including the thread on LSD, and the help from Matt at Guard Transmission, has been fantastic. I wouldn't have had the courage to proceed without the information I read and Matt's guidance (we replaced the LSD already).

Damn love that color. U should address the coolant fittings too if u plan to track. They are up in age. It'll ruin your weekend if it blows. Love the 6!!! Mike

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Ride height does seem high, but I did notice that the most recent owner had complained of some rubbing and the ride height changed (our roads in Alberta are really quite rough due to frost heave). Is there information that is available that defines "euro spec." ride height.
The car does have a front splitter, it is just hard to see in this shot. I was thinking of replacing it as it has seen a couple of curbs.

If splitter is still functional suggest u keep using it. U buy a new one it gets scuffed again. I know some people take it off for the street but suggest otherwise because rather scrape lip spoiler than bumper. Just buy a few cup splitters- its cheaper and the width across from end to end is the same va the tapered end to end for track. Tell u those pos push pull rivots for lip is a pita. Those things can fly off at track speeds if u got a gap bet bumper and lip spoiler. My track buds run over it so can't reuse it- there goes another $170 a pop : (. Mike

That's pretty and congrats on the purchase !! It's a real head turner. I would also consider a LED Lighting Kit if you haven't already. Enjoy and keep us posted with future modifications.
