Default 996 GT3 purchase attempt, part many

After a red one I was after got sold to someone else before I could get a deposit down, I bought a 14K mile 06 M3 ZCP manual instead.

But, you know the saying, there is no substitute.

What makes my search more difficult is that I only want ketchup or mustard. Yellow cars are easier to find than red cars apparently.

If you guys know of a red or yellow one that has not been crashed, track OK as long as no type 3, please let me know.

And yes, this time, I am more prepared and have my finances lined up before I started the search.

Thanks and I hope to be back in the saddle soon. And then I can change my avatar from my old yellow GT2 to a 6 GT3...

There was a yellow one on cars.com last week but in a quick search I don't see it now

Forum member Lowtush (sp?) has a yellow one for sale too

I wanted red too but yellow is easier to find.... And as it turns out yellow is clearly faster

Thanks.

I am looking for stock seats sub 30K miles GT3.

And I know yellow is faster, but I have had three yellow cars, red would be a nice change of pace, but I would be happy with yellow too.

Ouch, from GT2 to M3. Yeah, I would be depressed too...

Good luck with the search. The pickins are slim lately.

Check out SF Sports Cars. I believe they have a yellow one with 26k or something like that. Just noticed it as I was looking at their site the other day.

LOL, I have a bad case of car ADD because of previous ownership of the GT2.

Got married, got kids, then got an S4 Avant manual. Sold that, got an E39 M5, loved that car, got crashed into. Got an E90 M3, too slow and too heavy, got rid of it. Got a CTSV wagon manual, boat loads of power, mrs thought it was too big, will put it up on lease transfer. Got an E46 M3, will keep it.

And now, back on the hunt for an 6 GT3.

Yep, thinking about calling. Can that cage be sold for anything? This will be a street DD, so no cage and no Euro seats.

When I was searching for one, there was a guy name Steve (screen name: fooshe) that was selling his 05 red GT3 in the summer last year. Not sure if he still has it. He's located in Southern Cal.

Good luck.

I am pretty sure Fooshe's red 6gt3 is for sale. Super low miles! I considered buying it, but opted for a higher mile version.

This one looks to be in good shape (but pricey):

Wow, really? 66K? And it doesn't have full leather either (pet peeve of mine since the non leather dash really doesn't look good).

Also, IIRC, the CPO only stays CPO if it is resold at a Porsche dealer right?

Given the miles it should be around 56K, no?
