The 996 GT3 became a classic today ! Porsche launched the new GT3 in Geneva - it looks fantastic but it comes with a DFI engine and PDK only. That means that our "analog" cars with the famous Metzger engine have become somewhat more special today. I'm sure the new car is amazing in every respect but the our 3s will have a place in Porsche history as the first modern, water cooled sporty 911 sans the electronics - it's a keeper

I saw Porsche's website and the 991 GT3's motor has an external oil tank. The 991 Cup car has the Mezger motor in it. I don't know any more details about the street GT3 though. BTW, I absolutely love the 996 GT3!
