Default Will a K24 GT2 Turbo work on a 02 996 Turbo?

Will a K24 GT2 Turbo work on a 02 996 Turbo?

If so, will it be a direct fit?
What would be the HP gain on the stock 996 TT?
Will I require an ECU flash to make it work properly?

Thanks for your input.
Regards,
Mike

As far as I know, some people has changed original turbos and mounted GT2 ones. ECU has to be remapped.

I don't known the HP gain, but people seems happy with the change.

using k24 turbos is the same as a x50 tt. you need a tune and some add the gt2 or 997.2 intercoolers. if your going to use k24 may as well rebuild them with billet wheels and bigger covers.

I would check with a qualified local shop or GMG. Yes it can be done but it's not a bolt on solution for your home garage based on the question. If you are changing them you do need to look at new IC. I may have a set of GT2 ones in the garage.

should be bolt-on and function fine as-is without any extra parts/tuning, will be more laggy and shouldn't see any addtional power without tuning, there is a chance the factory k16 tune won't like the 'boost curve' of the k24's and go into a safe mode

If looking for more top-end power, I'd go for it and call Kevin at UMW for a tune
