CCWs still a good choice?

CCWs still a good choice?
I ask bc I recall there was an issue with Hoosier r6 rotating on the rims quite a bit. Also there was a rumor that John at CCWs wasn't selling to Porsche guys anymore. Anyway strongly considering a second set of rims and I don't like the OZ Allegritas. Also don't want to spend $4-$5k on another set from the high end names.

I have a set from John on my Zcar. I "had" a set that I sold with my 996TT. The Hoosier slipping on CCWs isn't a new phenomenon and happens with all the T1 racers I know running them. So why John would not "sell" to Porsche guys is crazy.
All that said, the "other" question is this, why is it that hoosiers seem to be the ones that do it? Has anyone spoken with HOOSIER? I know the T1 guys don't really care, and just work with it.

I was just think about ordering another set of Classics this past week and was surprised to see he's significanltly raised their pricing from $2,200 to $2,700. perset for 18". Still reasonable, but not when compared to the OZ's.....

Yea my LM20s came to me anodized black, in 18X11.5 and 18X10 for the Zcar and they ran me $3200. I am kinda stuck with the fitment for the Datsun, because it uses a Ford Mustang 5X4.5 pattern with really funky offsets... The porsche wheels cost about the same in their newer designs.
Those OZs will probably end up being my track wheel option for the GT3.

In the Porsche PCA Suncoast club magazine which is online on there website there is a set of 996 GT3 fitment CCW 's for sale $1300.
I tried to buy a set of CCW's from John a year ago and he told me he's not selling Porsche wheels. Vette, Viper muscle cars no problem.

Apples to Oranges but I have a set of Forgestar's for my wife's Mercedes and 3 of the 4 wheels have cracked on the inner barrels in MULTIPLE PLACES within 10k miles of street use.

My personal experience with Forgestar is that they are trying too hard to make a cast wheel light weight and the end product is a wheel that is fragile and not up to the task.

Mine are F10's model and they are on a 4300lb sedan. She did bend one of them which was a complete mistake on her part but ironically that bent (now fixed) wheel is the only one that hasn't cracked.
I've well documented the problem, well documented the lack of mileage on them and the lack of damage to the wheels other than the cracking and they are un-willing to stand behind their product and do anything to make it right.
