Default fittings and lsd

So this winter I'm getting my fittings done and lsd rebuilt. What else while I'm in there things should get done.

Make sure the intake manifold hoses are not brittle and hard. They will crack and start leaking!!! Mite as well change the serpentine belt too. Replace the coolant hoses too. Mike

When doing the coolant fittings also might as well replace the coolant resevoir, it can get brittle and crack too. Also check your coil packs.

Fuel filter is much easier to change when the engine is out.

Did the fuel filter a few months ago with the engine in. Was a pain in the ***. hoses and belts are good idea. Was also thinking about engine mounts. They are more than 10 years Old.
Wasnt thinking about coil packs or coolant reservoir so I'll definitely have those checked out.
Already have the lwfw.
What about shifter cables?
Thanks mike, but not yet.

: ). Check the trans mount- that wears quick. Maybe opt for a cup trans mount and rennline semi solids for the rear. Cupcables- very nice upgrade. Mike

Don't worry- When they drop your engine you'll find more. Do the water pump too.

All good advice above, I just did that very service as well. Did all mentioned above except the 3.9. I also changed the engine and tranny mounts. The reservoir had to be changed out as well as it was pretty dried out, had small cracks but no leaking yet but was going to sooner than later. New plugs, coils (most were cracked), plug wires, all coolant hoses, water pump, clutch , PP, LWFW. Great time to handle a lot of things but beware, your wallet will get beat up pretty bad.

The big cast ally coolant pipes which run down the rear bulkhead should be examined for little pinholes & replaced if found.

I did all of the list, plus the big pipes & the 3.9L upgrade this time last year
