Default 4 Axle Position Sensor, Rear

Hi Guys,

Was wondering whether anyone here has come across this fault code "4 Axle - Position Sensor, Rear"[/B]. This appeared on the PIVIS set recently and am trying to figure out what this code means and what I need to do. Currently I am driving a 996 GT3RS. Bought it brand new. Its my daily as well as my track toy. Mileage is 195,000km and so far no major issues with the car. Appreciate any comments.

Have not had that code come up on my '05 GT3 so I don't really know what it means. The only rear axle sensor I'm aware of (on my car) is situated on the L rear lower control arm. The plastic connector broke some time ago and I just left it off because a Porsche tech told me it was for automatic adjustment of the Litronic headlights. Since the car is 100% for track, I didn't care. You can easily check the LCA to see if there is an obvious problem with the linkage to the sensor.
