They will fit but are not the same as .2 headers.

No.
997 headers are a lot better than 996, but far from ideal.

Eddie, I wasn't comparing between 996 to 997.. was wondering about 997.1 to 997.2.. (and Peter confirmed that they are different)

Ideally if there's no sound restriction at the track, I'd run the M&M system that you have for sure.. modify the rear bumper to be center exit..

Once before on a previous car I gutted a cat and got an irritating ringing sound at certain RPM's, caused by turbulence inside the empty can. It went away by straight-piping the can.
Street version, cats were gutted in response to a failure, cut them out and fabricated in a piece of stainless. No ringing sound as a result.

I'll likely go with the 997 header setup on the car soon so I can get the cup rear bumper and slightly louder setup.

I got that, when I said no, I meant 997.1 and 997.2 are not the same.

For those with sound restrictions and also emissions control, you can still have the powerkit with high flow cats.

Just a quick update:

I ended up buying the Cargraphic SUPER SPORT SOUND EXPORT VERSION CARP96GT3ETS. From that sound clips I heard this was the best choice for me. After emailing cargraphic directly and asking for names of suppliers here in the states, they replied back with an invoice and sold to me directly (perhaps because I work in the auto business). Anyway, the price was great and delivery was fast. I ordered on Friday and recieved today. I will try to get sound clips before and after and post on PL.

Thanks for all the replys in this thread.

Good choice.

I have the Cargraphic mufflers with custom straight pipe. Sound is incredible.

Would you be willing to work with other buyers?

Sure I have no problem helping out if need be. Again, I have no idea if the reponse I got was due to me emailing from my business email with my company signature. But I do know the price I paid was much less than stated price. However, I have noticed the mufflers I bought have risen some 150 euros (price on cargraphic website) since last week.

John from speed tech also offered an extremely good deal on his mufflers. The only reason I did not go that route was I was unable to find a sound clip. Had I wanted more than mufflers I probably would hae ordered his X-cellerator
Cross-Flow Exhaust System .

Update:
I was able to get the mufflers on yesterday. However not able to get sound clips yet due to rain. I hope to get some later in the week as it is suppose to be dry.
