Default Suggestions on suppliers of motorsport gear

Hi folks,

The car is nearing completion, just had the front part of the factory cage installed in my '04 GT3 and KW 3-way clubsport coilovers. Thanks to another thread here re Hans device, it is time to invest in one of those and a compatible helmet (thinking Stilo carbon st4f I think..)

As I will be coming over from Sydney Aus to San Diego mid January, looking for suggestions on where you get your helmets, hans...race gear in general from so that I can pre-order and have the bits waiting for me at the hotel.

Cheers

D

OG Racing, Saferacer.com, CDOC

OGRacing and CDOC are both PCA friendly and offer discounts.

Apex Performance also has good stuff. I think they are a Rennlist sponsor and have a Rennlist discount as well.

dragan,

you may have to go try on the helmet and hans first to make sure they fit.

Make sure you get a HANS for an upright seating position and not an open wheeler. Also agree with Jimmy re trying on helmets. It is more about the shape to fit your head than the size. Definitely worthwhile getting someone at a motorsport shop to fit it for you.

As another Aussie who has ordered parts to collect whilst overseas in the US I can also happily vouch for apex performance. Clark and his wife Linda are very helpful and friendly. Excellent communicators and their pricing is also very competitive.
