My friend just had his 997.1 GT3 corner balanced. Car is stock with sunroof, Navigation, PASM, PCCB, and he has 18" CCW wheels with R888s. It weighed 3436 with full fuel and 180 lbs driver balast. So that would make his curb weight 3256 lbs. That's 181 lbs. heavier than the 3075 lb. curb weight listed in the Porsche brochure earlier in this thread.

^Fluids. I think the Porsche weight (3075) is dry. The 3256 weight is a lot closer to the 3241 listed.

I agree. It's odd though because the automotive definition of "curb" or "kerb" (UK) is the weight of the vehicle with full operating fluids. No way a stock 997gt3 weighs 3075 lbs with full fuel and fluids.

All of the corner weights I've seen posted by owners of both platforms leave the 997 numbers in question. Very confusing.

Porsche like most manufacturers lists both weights:

A. According to DIN 70020.
That means kerb weight, fuel tank 90% full, no occupants and standard specification with no extra equipment. Optional extras and accessories generally increase this figure and reduce the payload accordingly.

B. According to EU Directive 92/21/EEC
That means: 'Mass of the vehicle in running order' which means the mass of the vehicle with bodywork in running order (including coolant, oils, fuel, spare wheel, tools and driver).

As a point of reference.....my 6-3 was 3020 with a 1/4 tank of gas and that was with full interior, buckets, and a rollbar.

So that would imply that both A and B above include fuel. There is no way a 997GT3 weighs 3075 stock as Porsche shows in the literature. Heck, my friends car even had PCCB and was still 3250+ with fuel and no driver. My RWD Rturbo with Euro GT3 buckets and Teq. Roll bar is 3360 with full fuel and no driver so only a little over 100 lbs more his GT3 and I don't have PCCB. For some reason the 997GT3s are fairly heavy.
