Can anyone tell me how many model years the 996 GT3 series 2 was built?
I thought it was just WP0ZZZ99Z4S69**** (2004) and WP0ZZZ99Z5S69**** (2005), but after reading 911 & Porsche Worlds buyers guide (March 2008) it says production started in WP0ZZZ99Z3S69**** (2003). To be honest I thought they were produced until model year 2004 and the article is a miss print? Can anyone confirm?

Also I would like to know how many (ROW) 996 GT3 Series 2's were built, and would anyone know how many were built for each model year?

2003: 781 normal, 4 rs
2004: 1532 normal, 678 rs
2005: 276
these are total figures, so don't know how many are ROW.
aus got 14 rs and an estimated 80 of the standard cars.

the total world figures are from 'porsche 996 - the essential companion' by adrian streather

No, it only lists the start of the VIN numbers for 2004 and 2005 and not the end, so no way to know how many of the total number that are ROW.
