...Though not in the GT3. That's strictly a street car.
35,000+ miles of street use in 21 months!

I know the GT3 will be the faster one but will it be that much more fun is what I am really curious about.
You're going to love it on the track, especially Calabogie, one major advantage to living in Ottawa.

I run in the Red group in my region and all but about 4 cars are GT3 types. So after years of being one of the 4 non GT3 members I thought I should give in and give the GT3 a try. So far the 6gt3 has been a lot of fun on the street and based on all the replies here it will probably be a ton of fun on the track. I won't know this until our season starts up again which isn't until next May.
well, you modded 993. the bad thing about that is the only useful gear is 3rd. all other gears are totally useless. i presume u regear'd yours. now if you re-gear GT3 and put MCS/JRZ on it. u would sell your 993 in a heart beat.....

Now, what is really funny is that I sent Carm a note this afternoon to tell him where there was a set of JRZ' for his car. It's a sign

That was going to be the next step which was full race suspension. Carm, if you put those JRZ's in then you wont want or need another car! I recently drove a new porsche and I thought I was in a limosine, it freaked me out (not saying anything bad about the new porsche ). I miss everything about the GT3, the squeaks, the harsh ride, the stiff clutch, the constant fear of the engine shaking loose. You will love it on the track...and if you don't, I will buy it back from you. I am in serious withdrawl. The only thing better on the track is a cup car or a suped up civic

Can't wait to come up to Calabogie with my next car...currently putting it together

It's interesting that it feels like that as I'm pretty sure the 6 GT3 is lighter than any 993?

Anyway good to see members of the air cooled brigade coming around to the kettles

Lighter? yes..but sitting side by side, the 3 looks MUCH bigger. A bunch of us went on a drive, some with early 911's, couple with SC/3.2 cars, a 993 and our GT3. The 3 looked like a tanker truck parked next to the others!

I still have 2 914's and a '72 restoration project
and my track 914 is faster than the GT3...
