COTA
A girlfriend and I are thinking of driving up to COTA today and heard from Julie that you are up there. Are you driving the GT 2 or do you also have a BMW. We would love to see the car in action on a long track like that. Hubby is in California so it will just be us flying solo.

Sorry just looked at email and saw a notice from Rennlist. No the GT2 is back in Houston did not have room and really wanted to get some track time with the SPB. If you guys want the weather seem to be holding and the track is dry so come on up. There is a BMW race going on this weekend and they have indicated I can run in one of the heir race groups on a provisionally basis so I may take them up on the offer. If you guys have time we can grab some diner later.
If you want to get ahold of me it's probably cleaner to do it by email or phone.

Finally got work, weather, and track time to cross perfectly. We took the new hauler out to TWS this past weekend with PCA Lone Star Region and I got a chance to track the Beast for its first real sessions since the new motor and shifter were installed.
The motor Steve built us is nothing short of amazing. The he HP gains are evident NAND with the new flash I was able after just a few laps to really see the car wind out on straights, power out of mid corner and warp time with its acceleration.
After driving the Spec Boxster for a year I had forgotten what it was like to simply come out of the mid corner carrying great speed and then punch it flying past cars and approaching the next corner with great entry speed. The suspension that AJ set still really makes a difference. It's like having a rocket sled on rails. I was able to depend on the Suspension to bring me around the corners, and then back to another blast of power.
After being out of the car for over a year it's going to take some time to get my hands wrapped around the power but the SPB time has helped build the skill sets for sure.
After 1 session I have the car sitting at 1:51 lap time which I think is pretty darn good for first weekend back in the saddle. We were running clockwise so the 2-1 corner sequence opens up a ton of speed and once I got accustomed again to how fast you need to shift was hitting 156 on the straight with more available.
Here's the car at our shop in Houston going into the new rig

Car and rig looked great.
A 1:51 lap time is very impressive as well, good driving.

Thanks it's taken several months to build it and still a few details after the maiden voyage.
It's great to have the car back on track. The raw power made my heart pump and the car feels as if its on rails
Thanks Just trying to maintain the speed in the corners and then use brute force on the straights. Had several much slower laps as well still learning the proper use of the power curve. Can't step on the accelerator like we do in the Spec Boxster.
Plans are to haul up to Hallet next week and run with NASA and then over to TWS the next week. Love running both cars again.

You are right an amazing car, great workmanship and so under appreciated. One of the most drivable super cars ever built. Hope to see their resurgence.
Thanks New Orleans is such a perfect setting for photos. These were on bourbon street. Next photo trip will be to The northland this summer hope to find tons of photo ops and have fun with the. Car on tracks from Minnesota over to Te east coast.
Now that's a beautiful car to have in your pedigree. Enjoy

Great looking photos love the street scenes. That's a huge truck you have now. We are in Brenham today were you here. Looked just like you driving a sweet red Ferrari. Lost you when you turned off 290 just east of town.

You should bring both cars to HPR in August for the Club race / advanced solo DE. It's a fantastic event. Run the Boxster in the club racer and the GT2 in the solo DE. Always a good time...

I was supposed to be undercover me lady. You can't tell folks on the Porsche Forum that I was cheating with another Marque.
