They do look good, just have to be in the mood for them, usually at the track.

OEM black wheels (or any option IXD9 - Wheel Painted In Body Color) have a silver finish at the edges .. I prefer the silver ones.

Looks great on white, and helps hide brake dust for sure!

With the factory option, the interior of the wheel (as viewed through the spokes) is also silver... Not a fan.

I plasti-dipped these and I think they turned out well... I wanted to try it before I commit to have them painted.. For $75 and about 4 hours worth of time cleaning and spraying the wheels, I think they turned out well.

Here are some more pics...

The video above is very misleading. If you follow the instructions, they clearly state 30 minutes between coats "minimum" and then 4 hours curing time per coat, plus 8 hours for the clear coat. I let mine sit overnight. There is a bit of a time commitment to doing these.

Plasti-dipped. Now I can spend that powdercoating money on parts that actually make my car faster...

I've been wondering if I would like black wheels on my car. I may give this a shot. Plastidip says good to 200 degrees F. VHT says 250 http://www.cacustomcoatings.com/vhtwheelpaint.html

Be careful. VHT is paint and is not reversible. The plasti-dip can just be pulled off if you are not happy with the look - that's plasti-dip's inherent advantage.

Anyone tried Plastidip on aluminum grill screens? The paint (I assume not powdercoat) on my Cargraphic screens has peeled off. I was thinking about using some self-etching primer with a coat of paint, but then thought of Plastidip.
