I've contacted both Carnewal and GMG (distributor of Manthey) and seems both of them no longer sell the German made Manthey version. Guess the old fella stopped making them.

GMG now makes their own GT3RS replica wing in CF for $3k.
They will send to me a photo one one but have any of you used one?

Fit, finish? Comments about quality and function?

Thanks
George
I have the GMG wing and end-plates on my 6GT3 and the fit, finish, and quality is top notch. As far as function, when combined with an aggressive front lip, along with proper corner balance and alignment, its great on the track.

The shape and profile of the wing is very similar to the 7.1RS wing.

Manthey are definitely still making the RS CF wing for the 996 GT3 as I should get mine next week at some point.

I ordered mine from JZM here in the UK who have Manthey make them to order.

You're going to love it. I run mine with 4 deg shims and I can feel an improvement in tail end stability in high speed transitions. I recommend you get it wrapped with clear film (at least the top side) prior to use. The Gurney type lip built in to the trailing edge is somewhat delicate

Just above $2K in the US if I recall correctly. But shipping was pricey; it's a bulky wing and it comes in a gigantic box filled with foam. There was also a hefty US import duty, not sure about OZ.

really helps to buy mutliples as shipping cost hardly changes - try setup a group buy

Bumping this thread, I would be interested in a Manthey wing if they are still available.

Hi Chris, when I reached out to Manthey last year, they had no plans to have any more built by their 3rd party supplier. I think that ship has sailed. Too bad.

GMG also stopped selling theirs, due to quality issues with their supplier (according to GMG).

I went with a Getty unit. Much of the cost is on the finishing clear coat (depending on your standards). It came out very well for me.

Or you can pay $$ for a well used OE. Which will be beaten, and require aforementioned redo of the clear coat. Was not worth it to me.

Cheers

Matt

Here is another picture of a Getty wing and fiberglass deck lid. Custom made uprights to get the wing up in cleaner air and be able to run less rake.
