Going to start a thread on Hoosier fitment just to see...
What size offset wheels?

^normal/spec 6GT3 offset.

DHI - What front sizing did you use when you tried the R1s - 225 or 245?

TIA!

225 fronts and 285 rears for me. No rubbing at all.

Good to know.

What is the mounted width of the 225, if you know or could measure? We've found that the online data/specs are not (too) accurate unfortunately.

Guessing you feel there is 'enough' tire under you with those sizes? Not getting wheel spin on exit, etc? Front grip not giving up? They do seem to run a bit wider generally...

My comparison point is the Yokohama AD08R, a very good street tire, which is the tire I have run almost exclusively on my GT3. My track wheels are in storage at the moment, but I can take some measurements next week. I can tell you when I put the 225 R1's side-by-side next to 235 AD08R, the R1's looked every bit as wide, which agreed with TireRack's online specs. Same for the 285 R1 rear next to 296 ADO8R rear.

Subjectively the tires feel much grippier than the AD08R's at both the front and rear, although the rear seemed to gain just a bit more. The car feels very balanced everywhere except for really slow tight turns, where I got some push. Overall, I'm very happy with the 225/285 setup, although I do plan to dial in just a bit more front camber.

Thx fbirch. Don't worry about the measurements, we have a friend in a 6 C2 racecar that runs the 225s and have asked him for the same. One of the problems we have encountered is that the TR specs are different (of course) than the 'mounted' (actual or real) specs and when it is tight to begin with, well... That wont be the case w the 225s, I just want to be sure its enough tire for my set up and driving style.

I'm running R1's - 245 up front and 285 in the rear on a JRZ setup on my 2001 Carrera. I've just bought a 2004 GT3 and hoped they'd just come across as it's the same narrow body..hoping I don't have to back to 225's..i pick up the car in a few weeks so will report back. I love the R1's - not quite the grip of a Hoosier but at 40 heat cycles a set I'll take that any day!!
