How do the door cards come off?
There is a horrible rattle in the door somewhere, but unlike the 993, I can't see any screws. I would like to get the cards off and see if i can find the little buggar.
Can someone give me any pointers?
Thanks

That's because the 993 was a better engineered car.
Remove key
disconnect battery
wait 1 min
unclip the door handle surrounding
unclip the airbag's plastic cover (silver small plastic)
unscrew bolts
press lower light out
disconnect clip
disconnect bowden cable and clip
pool door panel (it has plastic clips all around) (some will break)
then pull it upwards.
I will try to post pics later.

Thanks J.
There is no denying the 993's were built better. Thanks for the info though. See, I would have gone in all guns blazing never even thinking about taking out the key or disconnecting the battery. I will give it a go. Pics would be great if you have any.

This should prove helpful:
My only advice is DO NOT use a metal screwdriver or putty knife to pry anything off - you will damage/scratch the panel. For $7, I picked this up from Harbor Freight, and it was well worth it:

For removing the center console, step by step instructions are included with the B&M Short Shifter install directions.
