Looking for Fabspeed cat bypass for sale
Anyone have a Fabspeed cat bypass set they want to sell?
Please email me if you do and I would need the pipes quick.
Looks like they sell an X-pipe configuration now. I just need to get the cats out.

Do they sell regular configuration catbypass nemore or just x-pipe? Regular configuration was cheap back then. Anyway x-pipe or reg configuration I don't know why price shouldn't be the same. I think I paid $499 for stock configuration. Its just a different bend. Mike

Not sure 996FLT. I have a call in to them regarding straight vs x-pipe. Voicemail so far.
My car is down on power and running hotter. I have a spare set of cats but they are not going on track.
So, for now it looks like I will either pull the cats down Monday and have the cans cut open and gutted or find a Fabspeed pipe quick. Either way the cats on the car are toast so I am just looking for the cheapest solution.

Just heard back from Fabspeed. No more $550 straight pipes.
$795 x-pipe is it.
I plan to cut open the cats on the car and gut them unless someone has a cheap used straight pipe.

Saw that Burger. 21K DHI.
My plan - seeing no Fabspeed used pipes seems to be jumping out at me - is to pull the cats off and cut open the top of each one, clean them out and weld it back closed.
That is the quickest and cheapest fix.
I am scheduled to get on the Moroso lift Monday.
I have a backup set of OEM cats for the future.
I will pull off the front bumper cover while their and clean it all out. Installing screens would be a bonus.

is on stock muffs u gonna get a cel during steady state highway driving. When I changed to fab muffs the cel never triggered- have no clue y. I have no O2 simulators or extenders either. Go figure. U get a cel as soon as u put them on but just reset it. Also on stock muffs in a indoor parking lot if u lift off the gas u will hear a whoosh sound from the cans ie they are restrictive in terms of exhaust flow. Vividracing- I would probably buy that vs x-pipe. I have a hard time paying $200-300 more for a different bend. Mike

If u plan to gut your stock ones- can u weigh them and see how much weight is lost. Stock cats are about 30lbs. Normal config fab cat bypass total weight is 10bs. Mike

I have basically stock cans. I did add the bypass pipe we used to talk about when these things were a few years old. I don't think it ever really did much.
I expect a CEL and would with any mufflers if the cats are pulled. You are lucky I guess. I believe you can get a flash to have this function ignored and probably annoying light out.
I will try to remember to weigh them. I can't imagine just taking out the ceramic core will save much.

I think it is a lot easier to pull the cats off and gut them vs have any shop fab up pipes. That is easy in theory but when you go to them they want the car, the cats and a few weeks plus $.
Why not? The cats already fit perfect and are useless as is.
Moroso will put the car on a lift, pull the cats off, cut open the top side you will never see, gut them and weld closed and bolt them back on. I have replacement gaskets.
My only thought was perhaps an empty cat has some turbulent flow vs a straight pipe. I decided to not worry about it because I doubt there is a noticeable effect.
