Peter - I believe, but don't quote me here, that you will need the appropriate rose joints and such that enable you to connect the cup car cables to your shifter. I can't recall if you'll need something on the transmission end but I know there is a very comprehensive post that details all the required parts floating around somewhere on Rennlist. I'd post a link but the bookmark is on my other computer although I think there is a link in the "Must Read GT3 Threads" sticky at the top of the 996GT3 forum. Hope this helps.

Hello all, sorry for the delay with responses. The race team has had its fiar share of bad luck the past few races and i have been swamped getting them sorted out with replacement parts.
There is a list of associated bits that go with the cables if you are fitting them for the first time, i will make a list and get it up here shortly.
The install is fairly straight forward and the cables are both inside and outside the cabin, they make the transition about a foot behind the shift box assembly. The car must be off the ground with enough clearance for you to get yourself underneath and have a little bit of working room. You will need to remove some underbody panels and your center console.
On a 1/10 scale of difficulty i would rate this job a 4.
How do you guys feel about giving this GB until the end of july?? If not chime in, i understand if you guys want to get this going sooner rather than later.

The rest of the parts should apply to both 6/7 and they are not that expensive to add as a complete kit to work with the cup cables. Whether u got a stock 6 shifter box or later 7 shifter box I pretty sure the parts are all the same to retrofit. Be nice to offer and complete kit for both 6/7 owners. If I can put a 7 shifter box in 6- parts needed to go cup cables should be the same. Does it include free shipping or that's an extra cost? Thanks. Mike

There will Very few UN-cupcabled 6s left on RL after this wave!
Love mine w 7.1 shifter altho .2 looks more metally you pay up alot. More than a couple threads cover it ... Must read thread too.
Throw Length changes - might not suit your preference.
Mike are you getting a back up pair?![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
IP - news? Hmmm ... Sounds pRomiSing

Derek I live in San Francisco so I can pretty much pick it up. Question is for Califorrnia residents does sales tax apply? Also for interested parties- can you provide a complete kit price to retrofit to oem shifter(other parts should be the same for either 6/7 owners)? Also for everyone else does the kit include free shipping or not? Mike
