Nothing but good luck and great Rennlisters in my experience. Always amazed at the trust of others here.

THe other thing I have learned the hard way is NEVER get rid of anything Porsche, seems someone here always has a need for it.

Best of luck resolving this.

For all the years I've traded/purchased/sold on here I've only been burnt once. I am cautious of a low post count in any transaction.

I too have bought and sold items on RL without any problems. Very nice and mature people on here with the intentions of honest business. I'm also in the LA area and would like to extended a helping hand if needed. Hope your issue gets resolved soon.

I need to revive this thread. The 'Chris Micheals' used the same phone number for a transaction where he was selling a motor. I sent him money and still haven't received the motor. Does anyone have the address he used? He wen't by Beau Micheals in my case and he did give me an address in Brea California to send a cheque to but I used pay pal instead. I think we should form a lynch mob... I'd fly out there for that. What Rennlist user name did he go by? Anyone have an IP address?

There seems to be a company out there that will create a fake identity for your phone number.
That's wild.

I don't 'think' that's how that site works but i'm not sure. I think it just leads you astray. Not sure though... still working on it...

FYI....look up the DSM IV criteria for Antisocial Personality Disorder (aka Sociopathy) and these deadbeats typically show many of the traits/symptoms listed.

Yup, I've delt with a few over the years myself. Being an "Rlister" means absolutely nothing with some.

I have been burned before but only once and that was as a seller on EBay - guy bought and paid, I shipped, and despite my having proof of delivery from USPS, he claimed to not receive it and they took the money back out of my PayPal account and refunded him.

Like Marc Shaw, ebay, USPS, and Paypal. My sister had the same result. Good thing it was only a $19 USB ethernet adapter.
