NEED HELP/ADVICE/OPINIONS 996
#16
as for an upgraded gt3, i cant find any, i can barely find any stock 996 gt3s. i have seen some heavily modded 996tts but the ones ive seen go for the price of a 996 gt2 or close to a brand new 997tt, i cant afford those. have you owned a turbo 996 before or have you driven one? if so how do u compare the drive to the gt3. which car did u like better?

^^^ No, never owned or driven a 996TT so I can't comment on the difference. But there are lots of people on here that have, and can comment. A couple years ago you could get a nice example with upgrades in the mid-50s.
I suggest finding out exactly what you want (the hard part), then posting what you are looking for. Many members aren't actively trying to sell, but will do so if the right buyer falls into their lap. All the cars I looked at were not officially for sale. Strange you can't find any upgraded GT3s, I've seen lots of them for sale on this forum. Keep lurking for a while, they will show up.

Bennnz0- If you're wanting no lag power, the 996 Turbo/S or GT2 will fit the bill nicely.
The GT3 is definitely a track oriented car opposed to a torque monster on public roads.
The Turbo has a softer, more compliant suspension...but can be made into an all rounder quite easily. Sounds like you need boost to satisfy you in this case.
