Never mounted GMG WC muffler set. Beautifully constructed and oh what sound. I measured them at 23 lbs lighter than OEM mufflers together. I will unpack and take pics for someone ready to pull the trigger. If you're not familiar with these, you can see pics at the GMG site.
Here's a sound byte for your listening pleasure
Price reduced to $1450 shipped... $300 off GMG list.

Also love mine. I often put my windows down so that I can enjoy the sound more!
Exceptional price by the way.

The sound increase inside and out is significant. These are the only mufflers I've had personal experience with, so can't make comparisons. My guess is these are in the top 5 at generating top dB music, so you wouldn't want these if you're not willing to stand out some. Personally I loved the tone and added dBs though. It won't sound like a 7/3 that so many 6ers seem to be after, but it's got lots of snarl and honk
Some background... I installed a set about a year ago. Yes, I missed Laguna for the season, but wasn't finding time to track anyway. I pulled them recently after noticing a cracking weld during some maintenance. Sent them back to GMG and true to their reputation, they simply sent me a full replacement setup. I'm looking forward to some tracking and so torture myself daily as to whether I unload them or install them. If they sell, there's my answer... if they don't, then turn up the music!
btw, I didn't note any change in low rpm torque/power, butt my dyno is broken.

This muffler looks small and loud. Previous thread GMG verses FVD mentions 100 plus decibels. Over 85 dB and you cannot hear/have a normal voice conversation without yelling. Perfect for the dedicated track car. Probably too loud if driving long distances to the track without hearing loss.

No yelling required After living with the previous set for a year, i can only say that I miss the noise, and yet , kind of enjoy a temporary return to quiet. Still, I could always talk in the car, even if voices were just raised above normal conversation level. No idea what dB level on these are, but perhaps someone does.
Somebody take these from me before I put them on!!

I drive several hundred miled to the track and at 3000 RPM its no problem at all. I can listent to a CD or take a phone call if need be. I think GMG has one of the best sounding exhausts for a 6 thats out there.

I love, love, love the sound of these mufflers on my car. They are loud but you you can hold a conversation at highway speeds/rpms.
Around town sometimes it is prudent to short shift to keep the attention level down, but there are also sometimes where letting it go is sublime.
On the track they rock and other cars will definitely know you are there.
