I use the Fabspeed Super Cup mufflers for the track, plenty of noise no noticble loss of power although I have not done any dyno testing. They would not pass any noise restrictions and are too loud for daily street use.

Thanks for the feedback and info guys. I'm glad you are enjoying the new X Pipe serickson. Let me know if you guys need anything and the DB readings sound right, I expected the sound increase to be very close to that.
thanks,

Will the cat bypass with stock mufflers cause a CEL?

So maxflow mufflers plus the sport cats would not pass at LS? What's the DB limit there? Anyone have this set up and run at Tremblant or Calabogie?
Francois, what do you have on your car?

I have the full end-to-end Fabspeed setup: Headers, mufflers, cats. I think that the car sounds incredibly good without being too loud.

I pass sound everywhere.

Don't know if there is a model name, but system is 3 - 4 years old. BTW, I also managed to pass emissions last month.

I have the Fabspeed mufflers and the cat bypass pipes with the 02 extenders and get a CEL every now and then. But it's rare.

Thanks FFaust. I think I'll try to find a set of sport cats then. A little less weight, a little extra power and sound can only be good!
Anyone ever try the GMG WC mufflers with the stock cats? They look like they would be louder than the maxflo's...anyone hear both for comparison? power wise, anything to add?

It appears my Europipe cats are no longer functioning, interested in gutting them (with custom EPL tuning to get rid of the CEL). Whats the general consensus on how much louder the car is with aftermarket mufflers and no cats ? The majority of the tracks around here don't have sound (Roebling is 104db), but I do drive the car on the street so drone would be slightly annoying... thoughts?

It made a bit of a difference on my car which had the stock cat's and aftermarket mufflers. With the mufflers and the cat bypass pipes on, the car just sounds right to me. At HWY speeds you can carry on a conversation and I don't notice MUCH of a drone.

To put things in perspective, I found the muffler bypass pipes with the stock cats offensive. I lasted about 2 weeks with this setup. I think my neighbors lasted about 15 minutes.
