The Complete Book of Porsche 911: Every Model Since 1964 By Randy Leffingwell
nice pics, not just rehashed ones (even of my car but w blue highlights - Dan take note; mostly US cars, especially the early ones), interesting detail on development history and racing/company politics without getting all phd. Strong focus on how US market influenced the company. Covers every 911 related models' unique aspects and development. Fair level of tech discussion usually on the newer developments as they were introduced.
Did you guys know it's thanks to Peugot's whining, with their 404 and 505 brand, that the 901 became .... The 911? Much better - merci beaucoup les Francais!

My wife also bought me one of those driving experiences.. I wasn't thrilled at first (I was thinking NASCAR) but realized it is in an indy car. Should be a fun experience..

Which stilo did you go with ? Parents chipped in for a new one for me but still trying to figure out if I should just go composite / carbon / FIA and which options to go with....

Do not have pics yet . My aunt gave me a bunch of old Porsche posters for different racing series from the late 60's to mid 70's from when she and my uncle worked at Porsche.
An original engine tech manual for the Carrera 1600 GS, and a book "The First Decade 1949 to 1959" by Walter J. Spielberger from 1960.
She had no problem if I wanted to some of these items, just take her out to dinner.
