Any issue with replacing the serpentine belt the day before a DE?

No problem at all. Mine snapped at the track and replaced same day. No issues. Mike

mike my serpentine belt snapped today temp went thru the roof no power steering only drove it of track few hundred yes... worried about high temps did you have any issues?

Well my altercation with serpentine belt snapping was more than just a belt snap. I spun backwards into a ditch crimped bumper and who knows what else happened. Got back to pregrid explained I muffed apex at entry into t8 at thill and probably grass/gravel got in between belt and pully and snapped it. Fms started leaking thereafter but more due to going backwards with no clutch/brake in. I would worry more about a full coolant dump vs a belt snapping. I would just monitor for leaks after the fact. Sounds like yours was short loved so probably wouldn't worry. Mike
