Hi
Does anyone have the valve/cam timing specifications on a 2000 Mk1 GT3?
Any any suggestions on how to change it to improve it - assuming stock cams will be used.
Thanks
Guy

mk1 engine specs
Camshaft
From the crankshaft via a double chain to the intermediate shaft, and from there to the inlet and exhaust camshafts via one double chain each.
Camshaft adjustment
Axial adjustment with 25° adjustment
Valve clearance
Hydraulic valve clearance compensation
Valve timing with 1 mm valve travel and zero clearance
Inlet opens
1 degree before TDC
Inlet closes
119 degrees before TDC
Outlet opens
133 degrees after TDC
Outlet closes
7 degrees after TDC
Firing order 1 - 6 - 2 - 4 - 3 - 5
Some German tuners played with cams, but I don't have any numbers.
Just a friend's car that lost its engine..
