Coolant fitting blew at mid Ohio
small one on right side as you look at the back of the car. Is there a quick fix that will get me back out for the weekend or am I done?

Fitting or hose? Is it the one with the 2 ring clamps on rt side? I had shop there clean and tap a pin on said fitting but waterpump grenaded too- was game over for me : (. Mike

That sucks! I hope there was no drama due to the loss of coolant.
If it's the small fitting, you may have gotten lucky. There's a short piece of rubber hose held on with two wire clamps that connects the two J-shaped tubes.
Perhaps the hose just blew or blew off. Are you sure it's not the larger black hose on the outboard pressure side of the water pump?
If a fitting came loose, then you're probably hosed. Hope you have a trailer!

Hahaha. All I can do is laugh and smile right now. Loaded up the M3 for the track this morning only to get there and realize one of my front tires was starting to cord. Game over again
Last night I tried to get the fitting to go back in the housing and couldn't. Today I cleaned all the old epoxy off of it, roughed it up with 100 grit then threw it in the freezer for a couple hours and it went right back in place. Mixed up some JB weld type epoxy (name escapes me at the moment), applied it and now I wait. Find out tomorrow if it'll at least hold for a temporary fix

Glad that there were no dramas resulting from the failure. Good to see you, hope to catch you again later in the season. Kyle

Yes, I've got it slated as a winter project. I've got a very good friend who is a welder by trade and he is going to tig up the oem assembly for me over the winter. Only question mark is the one I fixed, I put enough epoxy on it so that it not only had it down in the fitting but as I pressed the fitting into the housing it also created a bead of expoy at the top of the fitting almost like the weld would look up there. That may prevent us being able to weld the existing assembly in which case I'll have to get a new one.
Water and water wetter only in there now, which will have to change again before winter sets in.

Did you read the post that compared the friction coefficient of water and water wetter with antifreeze? If I remember, very little difference.
I'm also going to have the fittings welded this winter.
