Default 996 GT3 custom-built full exhaust

996 GT3 custom-built full exhaust.

Full exhaust, headers all the way to the tips. Designed and built by Seattle,WA Porsche tech. certified on 901-997.

321 stainless
no ECU flash-stock
no cats
no CELs
no loss of power throughout the curve
gain of 10-12hp
60-70 pounds off the rear over stock exhaust
before and after stock to custom exhaust dyno runs with 996 GT3

two Seattle Rennlist members have purchased exhaust from said builder and very pleased with the product.

keep stock exhaust for smog test and tracks with sound limits.

A few of my friends and I are ready to get this project started but need a few more people so we can keep the cost of exhaust down. Builder has a day job (Porsche Tech) so this exhaust project will take 2-3 months to complete. Need to get started, PM me if seriously interested.

OH Yea...

May I recommend the Center Exhaust Exit?

Just incase you are unsure here are a few notes for you to help solidify your decision.

2nd. RL'ister with this exhaust. PJS and I had this system built for our 996 GT3's. Dave now is the proud owner of PJS 996 as noted in post #3. Since then both PJS and I have systems built for our .1RS's. Second time around is just as sweet. .1RS system was spec'd to retain full Sport button functionality.

FYI, WA State is an emissions state in which you have to pass test in order to attain tab for license. Test is administered via OBD II. Passed with this exhaust. As long as you are not throwing a CEL, should pass.

Can't go wrong when it's custom made!

Thanks for posting guys, hopefully this will ad credibility to this project and its builder. I have done my homework for a few years now. Talked with each one of you by phone, and have had two sit down meetings and many emails with the builder. I AM READY for this custom full exhaust.

Anyone want to join a few friends and I on this build project?

Cost?
Pix?
Dyno?
Thanks!
Btw, I've been driving my 996 GT3 with Fabspeed Muffler Bypass pipes for quite some time. A bit quieter (not for me; for my neighbors!) would be nice.

I really dig the center exit, but now you're throwing in the cost of another bumper!

^ yes - it is lapis blue - beautiful color
I think it is about 1/5 lapis blue 996 gt3s

I can tell you this about the builder of the exhaust - he is the only guy that works on my mechanicals, his work is great, and he is honorable and talented.

Here is what he just built for my RS
It is different than what he is proposing in this thread and I am only posting this as an example of his work

Another GT3 owner told me about this build. I'm curious, there is no HP or TQ increase, perhaps no CEL, but if so, you'll have to put on the OEM exhaust to pass emissions.

Besides a different exhaust note is the only advantage a loss of 60 lbs. for $5000?

"no loss of power throughout the curve
gain of 10-12hp"

It does sound like a lot, but it certainly isn't the only full exhaust out there in that price range. It's actually on the more affordable end when compared to the competition. I could be wrong, but Fabspeed is the only other header to tip option for about this price unless you go with Ebay headers.... and good luck with that.
