Default Radio Amplifier ("Booster") location

Can someone please tell me where the radio apmplifier ("booster" in Porsche speak) is located. The prior owner of my car put in an aftermarket head unit and I thought I would remove the old booster, which presumably is not dooing anything now.
Thanks

+1 The OEM radio is a standard DIN size receiver/amp unit. The aftermarket one could be the same, or may have a separate aftermarket amp.
