My GT3's new little sibling

I don't want to judge but, is there really a need to a 997S when you already own an M3 ?
I was thinking to replace my Lexus and my 996 with an M3 to have one car that can do it all.
Looking at what you did, I wonder what was your motivation thinking the M3 could not do what the 997 will ?

Sweet attic Dell!
philooo: Is there ever any "need" to own even just a single Porsche? On M3+997S... I have no presumptions of replacing the M3, and there wasn't anything the M3 doesn't do that I was looking to fill by getting a 997S. The M3 has been the daily driver. But maybe the S will replace it, haven't decided yet. And I'm in agreement with Dell... while the M3 is not a bad car, the E9x feels more like a Mercedes E-class compared with the previous versions. And for whatever reason I'm just not as attached to it compared with the two previous versions that I had owned before. But it works great for DD duties, nice and comfy.

Honestly, if we sell the 993 cab, an M3 may be in our future as I may soon need something as a DD, I'm tired of driving the tow vehicle everywhere, and the wife is driving the GT3...

Indeed right now the M3 make a compelling argument for a double duty track/daily driver. Not that the 997 would not do as well, but trunk space is really limited, or may be I should think about investing in a roof rack storage

vw is da bomb.
had scirocco 8v, 16v, gen 2 GTi 16v
and the new bug turbo. even DE'd it and rode the bumpers of a few 993turbos. can't find the pic right now. but it was hilarious. should have bought the R32.
