WTB 996 GT3 - Anyone know this car...
Hi,
I am looking to get back in to a Porsche after a 3 year hiatus. Wanted to know if anyone has any history on this car for sale in Dublin, CA.

car has miles
car cost more than most
car has been for sale over 18 months
when money is ready, post here. someone will contact you with a good car.
i just put together 4 RL buying selling 2 cars in last 3 weeks.
both were better deals
all the good US cars are moving to canada for some reason.

it's a decent looking car - fair enough
tall miles
weird/consignment deal...owner thinks it's a mclaren, or something (though the price seems to be coming down a bit)
seems to have been around more than the girls working at the New Century

I looked at it, too. Researching it mentions something about a possible wreck at a previous dealer. It may be my eyes playing tricks on me, but the drivers door doesn't fit perfectly at the back. Carfax shows "parts ordered" but no details, and door alignment service.
I still like the car, but it has a shady history for sure.
I'm still in the market, but am having trouble finding one for under 50 to my door.

I'm fine with "some" issues. There are certain trade-offs I am willing to accept to meet my budget. For instance, I would still consider the Dublin car if I could confirm or deny the accident history and see a solid compression test. However, they seemed very eager to avoid investigating the details to any serious extent. As with most dealers, they'd rather just move the car for the price on the window no questions asked.
