Eric,
Wheels look great!. I had Forgeline 3pc on the car when I had it. Had gun metal centers with polished rims. Dave is a good guy to work with.
Hope you're still enjoying the 3. I think of it often.

Really happy for you. It's so exciting! Having been there I know there's no end to things to you want to do for the car,but I just noticed that PCNA has expanded their course offerings. That was one of the greatest "investments" I made in tracking. There now is a Masters Plus course and a Cup course. It's also a great opportunity to experience Barber .

I've been off the site for sometime and don't know if you've used any R compound tires yet. If not , you are in for a real treat with the new wheels and Nitto's.
As Doc Bundy once told me " Be Safe. Be Fast"

One of these days, I will plan a trip to take the PSDS.. would be a great way to experience Barber, as you said..

I started w/ PS-2, and now am on Yoko AD-08 (still street tire, similar to PS-2, but a little bit more grip in the dry..).. I got the new rims mounted w/ NT-01 today, but am thinking I will wait for a few more events before I start running them (?) so I get some more experience w/ street tires first.. I was told that these NT-01 are decent in giving warning, though.. we will see.. !

For those who is puzzled w/ the conversation between me and Modoc.. I bought the car from Modoc in '09. He was an absolute gentleman to work with.. and we "kept it in the family" (the Rennlist family)..

If you can drive street tires and they sing around every corner while still in control then you are ready for stickier rubber.

Going back to less sticky rubber after awhile can also be very informative especially when you try to maintain speed. Then once you get comfortable and fast when you do go back to sticky tires you will be blazing fast.

Got my first set of track wheels.. !! Was pretty set on a set of CCW C-14 or C-10, but then saw one of the sponsors here at the board, Forgeline, has these new 1-piece forged track wheels available at a good price.

Usually I am the type who likes to buy things that's well proven, but decided to give these new VF-1 a try after chatting w/ Forgeline a little bit. Hopefully they are as strong as they are good looking!

Hey, what's in these boxes?!
I'm a little late to the thread, but I bought the same wheels last fall, and just waiting to mount some Hoosiers on them. BTW, my garage looks the same - 6GT3 and Cayman S

I am glad everyone likes the wheels, I am looking forward to seeing them on Eric's car. The VF1 right now is a somewhat limited run. These were developed from some lathe turns we had from another project and right now we are seeing how people like them before we commit to producing them in larger quantities. We are also making room for our new 1 piece wheel that is a version of our popular GA3R complete with I-beamed concave spokes. The first GA1R's will be available in 18x9, 18x12 fitments in about 60 to 90 days, and then other sizes by late summer. Right now we have the VF-1 available in 18x9, 18x10, 18x11 and 18x11.5 and they are on special pricing of $2500 /set until they run out. (we will hold some back for spares) We may decide to make more, but they will not be priced at $2500 at that point.
Let me know if you have any questions about the either the GA1R or VF-1.

Not yet. Bought the wheels last fall after the car was parked for the winter. Still one or two weekends left in the ski season here, so it'll be a week or two before the 3 sees the sun. The Forgelines will be used as track wheels so should have them on by May. Looking forward to seeing pics when you get them mounted.
