Default Michelin PROMISE

Michelin have just introduced a new tyre warranty here:

http://www.michelinman.com/promise/

- 30 day 'trial' period
- 3yr "flat tyre" changing assistance
- limited wear warranty

http://www.michelinman.com/media/en-...wners_Manu.pdf

This will cover the Super Sport when launched, and presumably (although I am not certain) the Cup Sports also.

There are exclusions (as you would expect) for track use.

Also note that "staggered" fitments (like those on pretty much any 911) as special, where one axle (rear) only receives 50% warranty.

Larry thanks for the update, but don't they have to give us the 18" SS in the right sizes before we can benefit from this new warranty? : )

Thank you my horse is now long dead, you may refrain from beating it at your leisure!!!

I spoke to the brand mgr at Michelin, I think it will be a long time/never before the SS appears in anything other than 295/18, unless another brand has the 315/18 as an O.E fitment?

Sorry mate couldn't resist. : )

So the answer is never. Im good in reading diplomatic answers.

If they don't reproduce real cups in 315/30/18 your euro brothers are stuck between a rock and a hard place and Im not reffering to the Rolling Stones song..but
toyos and yokos..

I got the impression that they were essentially saying 'never' ... sorry I failed!

Forget about it, still love you, and still think that your biggest fail was not snatching a set of SS from Dubai for your 7..

3 guys went there and came with empty hands. : )

TIRE RACK Now more that 40 sizes:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ot+Super+Sport

Do you think using these would be better that Yoko Advan AD-08 even if it means dropping the back to 285s. I new and will just be staring DEs. Will do about 3k street, 5 DEs, and 5 AutoXs this summer.

I have to buy a set of tires anyway.

Tom, I cant really say, if I stated an opinion it would be pure BS...

re-read the 30 day money back policy, buy a set drive em around for 29 days, take them back, then post your opinions here!
