Default Is this front strut mount rotated?

Getting ready to do some suspension work for DE. I am planning to rotate the front strut mounts. Can anyone tell me if these have already been rotated? It will save me some work if they are already done. Upper rear links on the way. Thanks!

Looks like non-rotated position. Green dot would be located at the inboard position if in rotated position IIRC

That bump in the mount needs to go to the inside...

As you can see, the hole in the middle is not centered around the plate. So when you rotate the plate, you move the top center of the strut in and out (relatively) and that will change your camber, etc.

Very nice things happen : )

Rotating them gives you about 2deg starting camber and with a few shims in the lower arm you make it 2.50. Then your camber is nice.
Also doing that makes your caster look nice.

Good stuff : )

I think if you rotate strut top, you lose caster.. so unless you are going for a lot of negative camber, I think it is better to not rotate the strut top, no? (need to keep the caster for 8 degree+)

i.e., if you want only -2, -2.5, you probably don't need to rotate..

Correct, if you are only going for -2 then adjust accordingly. However, if you are going more aggressive (like I did to -3.9) then rotate to get the floor set at about -1.8 and then shim the rest.

Well, thanks to input from this site, I was able to rotate the upper strut mounts. I was able to knock off the studs by using a brass punch. I was able to press them back in by using a C-clamp with a socket. Took about 1.5hrs do do. Pictures included. Upper rear control arms should be here later this week. Hope to install them this weekend. Rear toe link already in there. Then is off to the shop for a track alignment...
