Thumbs up What A Sweet Machine

I’d been out of the GT3 for a few weeks when I put it up on jackstands and was getting the wheels refinished, and was reluctant to reinstall my track wheels in freezing temps just to drive to our local coffee gatherings on the weekends.

Anywho, with the wheels and tires finally mounted, I got to spend some time getting reacquainted with the GT3 this weekend, and man did absence make the heart grow fond. Another recent tweak I wanted to sample was the BK seat mount I installed; the couple degree reclined position felt great.

While it wasn’t very sunny, ambient temps were in the high 30s yesterday afternoon, and the roads were dry. I was quickly reminded that I still laugh like a little girl when I take the motor much past 5k and get into 4th gear and higher. Woo man, triple digit speeds come on quicker than I remembered (freeway on ramp hoonage), but its all smooth, controlled, and tight as a drum.

What a great car. No Ipod, Bluetooth, back up cam required.

I'm envious. Hibernation ends in April here.

Show us the refinished wheels!

+1!!!! Just purchased on Saturday a CPOd 997.1 C2S cab as a DD, and spent the past 24 hours driving it from NYC to Alabama (950+ miles). It is a great car, but it is no GT3...

Thankfully, the GT3 is happily tucked-in for the winter at a nice climate cooled garage. Best car that I have ever owned. Period.

I did that too. Great upgrade. I felt like I was going to fall out of the stock seat mount position. The BK got me right where I wanted to be.

I have a couple pictures of the wheels but no good ones uploaded yet; will do so when the weather permits. More snow and ice on the way today Glad to see I'm not the only one ready for the '11 track season.

Well, if it makes you feel better, my car is in the shop to get the horn fixed and they gave me a Honda Civic. I changed the speedometer to KPH to feel better about it

you guys need RS4's as your daily driver. not as much fun as the GT3 of course but is great tonic to help aliviate the empty feeling when your GT3 tucked away in it's nappy for the winter.

go drive one, you will not be disappointed. and with snows, they go anywhere! nothing like AWD
