My car was on 19" tech art wheels when i got it,i ran it for a while with them on 235/305 cups and it was ok but they ripped my under arch plastics to pieces on track from catching.
It felt ok though and i had no problems with abs.
It did look good, but the more it turned to just a track car i decided to put 18's on and it is better now on them, cheers

MPSCs are the best tire, other than pure slicks, to grace my car. I didn't like Nittos although they lasted forever. Pirelli Corsas were pretty good.
Set of MPSC @ Tirerack:
- 18" = $1,208
- 19" = $1,814

Yet another good reason to stick with 18s.

Offset is different as well for 996GT3 vs. 997 Carrera/Carrera S.

I assumed the 19s would work since that is the setup on the 7 GT3 and also that there would be more tire options going forward, but at what cost/hassle.

I've e-mailed Damon @ Tirerack to ask about some Alleggeritas and will be on the lookout for some used CCWs
There is a fellow on Rennlist under the name Jasonpoteat that has a set of CCWs in proper GT3 size for sale.

Sorry Francois. It looks like my buddy Jeff snapped them up and we both missed them. At least I can go look at them since Jeff doesn't live that far from me.

Hey Allan, didn't I read somewhere that you had 3 sets? That's got to be at least one too many

Mooty has a set of Kinesis for sale (per his signature), but I don't know which model and am afraid that they might be a bit too blingy. Not to mention hard to clean.
here is a pic.
very nice.
8.5 and 11
my stripper runs 9.5 and 12
so these need to go.
and at 2000, these 3pc wheels are pretty damn cheap.

i have three sets, but unless you roll your fenders my CCW will not fit a regular 996gt3.

sfbimmer has a set that will work with stock GT3, he's selling those.

Alan scooped the 3rd set from a fellow I know in Alberta..... so I had no choice but to pick these ones up. Now I need to get rid of the RUF 19s and two sets of Cayman 19s (leaving me two) and then get a custom set of Fikses built for the 996....

Cheers

Cheers
